Remember to write a paragraph discussing the week’s readings. The QCQ method was suggested as very good way of structuring your posts.

(1) Pick a (Q) quote from the reading--not too long--about something that interests, puzzles, or irritates you.

(2) Write a comment (C) about the quote. What do you think the author is trying to do? What do you think he/she is trying to express, and why? Next, how do you feel about--or better, what do you *think* of it? Is it a good argument? Why?

(3) Develop a question from both your quote and your comment. You don’t have to answer it, but think about the way one might go about answering. Remember, sometimes the question, or the problem, is just as important as the answer. It still helps to at least suggest how you might go about solving the problem you see.

One quick addition to this “formula,” is that it’s not scientific, it’s not a recipe--in the sense that you need to follow all the step in the order in which they are given. What I mean is, play around with the form. Maybe you start off with the question, or maybe even with  commentary. This Q-C-Q format is, more, what are the good ingredients of a successful post. Every post should try to come up with a question, give comments on the reading, and pick a quote from the reading. However, it doesn’t necessarily have to be in that order!
