I have a problem displaying the Arabic language in the version that 2.1.6 and above, See the picture below for clarification, as you will find the words intermittent, not in all cases, some parts, especially the buttons, the language is not clear, and in displaying cards or the like it is clear

Maybe try increasing the width of the window by dragging its left or right border. The text of the buttons should eventually become fully visible (and the window should keep the new size the next time you open it).

what do you mean by "the font is disconnected?" Did you install the font? Open fontbook, (which is in your applications folder) and file: add fonts. Did it do this successfully? Once the font's installed you can also "validate the font" in Fontbook, to make sure it's installed correctly.

Some apps like TextEdit should be able to use your Windows font, but you might then have to convert it to images for your purposes (I don't know what your workflow is or what you are trying to produce).

well the case is that i don't want to use any other font other than the one I have, so you are saying that i can't install it properly on final cut unless i use it on other text editor and then make image of it and then move that image over the video i am creating ? so there is no solution for my problem other than that ?

Regarding images, I understand it is not uncommon to use a separate titling app like Belle Nuit to create title images which are then imported into FCS, etc. Whether Belle Nuit supports Windows Arabic fonts I don't know.

I am trying to join a frequency result to a map service layer. I have publish a GP service from a Model. First i am running frequency tool and using result table to add join tool. I am using a field for frequency which is including Arabic characters. The result of the frequency table arabic values comes corrupted (as ????????). I know that, i have to change regional settings to Arabic to get correct results in ArcGIS Desktop. So i changed the settings to arabic on the server also but result is same. In model i am using scratch workspace for frequency result. But service is creating the result as dbf file in jobs folder not in scratch.gdb. I don't know this can be a reason, but if, what is the solution? When i got the corrupted result , i can not complete the join process also.

I suspect the problem is the dbf creation step since that file type would know nothing about the regional settings. There are many links on the web including this 21106 - Read and write shapefile and dBASE files encoded in various code pages from esri

The problem is solved. Dan' s first comment has solved my problem but it took some times after i add registery key. Also i solved the writing result table to scratch.gdb file. I was selected the result tapbel properties as managed. When i unselect it, now it creates table in scratch.gdb.

I have the same problem, when i use my print service in the Print Widget of WAB, i can't display arab letters correctly (the title of the legend is in arabic), can you explain more the procedure that you follow to solve the problem?

I'm working on a project in Arabic language and when I preview the project inside storyline it was okay but after publishing letters were corrupted like the screenshot below. I have tried many fonts like (Arial Unicode MS, Microsoft sans-serif, and Calibri) but nothing of these fixed the problem.

Would you be able to share your file with our support team so we can do some testing? With your permission, we will investigate what's happening, and we'll delete it when we're done troubleshooting. You can share it with our team here.

I saw you were also working through it with Alyssa in this forum discussion, and it looks like you also worked with Jose on this in a case. He shared that it's been reporting to our Support team as an issue with how Arabic text is displaying incorrectly/differently in HTML5 on IE, Edge and Firefox. It does display correctly in IE11 with Flash, or Chrome's HTML5 output so you'll want to look at using one of those browsers.

Hi people

I'm facing problems to export PDF reports with arabic characters. When I generate a HTML report, they are correctly shown, but when I generate a PDF one, only '?????' is shown.

I tried to set the PDF encoding of the fields to Cp1256 (Arabic) but it didn't work. Everything else in the report is set to UTF-8.

Could anybody help me with this problem?

Regards
Capitale Arg

Thanks for your reply. I tried using Arial (arial.ttf) and Arial Unicode MS (ARIALUNI.TTF), but none of them worked. I'm testing in iReports 2.0.5 only, not in a real application to save time. Could this be a problem?

I don't think running the report in the iReport tool would be a problem.I want to know how you have tried using these fonts. If you have specified them in the 'reportFont' tag in jrxml file then, you have to mention pdfEncoding something like 'Identity-H'.Also in this tag, you can define the path at which the font file(ttf) is located. Let us see if this works out..

When I am trying to print any microsoft word document with arabic name. It prints a page with @PJL SET JOB NAME="Microsoft Office" and a following one with some black stains on the page.

- I unistelled the office and reinstalled many times.

Welcome to the HP Forums I would like to take a moment and thank you for using this forum, it is a great place to find answers. For you to have the best experience on the HP forum, you could also visit our HP Forums Guide for First Time Here? Learn How to Post and More. I see from your post that you are having issues with the printer prints weird symbols. Don't worry we'll work together to help you find a solution.

I would suggest here is to update the printer firmware, now you can try to do that either from the printer control panel or you can download the printer firmware from our HP support website, using this link. Once done, restart the printer.

I have been working on the correct set up of a course for Arabic 101. Currently there are 5 professors form the University creating all the content for the course. The problems or inconvenient they have encountered are the following:

First one is that when they write in Arabic the indentation is left to write (LTR) and not Right to Left (RTL) now they would like this to be automatic and not have to change the indentation manually (we are not going to change the language of the course to Arabic since it is directed to people that have little or no knowledge of Arabic).

At the language department we have set as a rule that the professors collaborating in this course must write all their text in Microsoft Word before they paste it in to Moodle. We have done this because many Arabic speakers use other programs that use special fonts or encodings and will work only on their PCs. This rule has been working fairly well, but in many cases some diacritical marks are stripped away and the spacing is incorrect (may be the Arabic extension was not working?). I think this might have something to do with how Moodle stores this text in the DB (MySQL) and/or how it displays it; does Moodle saves all text as Unicode? Any fix, update or patch for this?

After doing a small reseach, I found that the problem lies in Firefox cuz it works fine with IE (the text shown in the above image is not shifted to the left at all).
Unfortunately, I have to use FIrefox, so I need to fix that. I tried to Google it but couldnt figure it out. Maybe certain add-on or plugin could solve the problem.

How can I write arabic characters into an excel file using LV2010 ?
I've tried different ways even using "Report Generation for Microsoft Office Toolkit" but what I'm seeing in excel is not arabic characters.

Are you using the same version of Excel on both you XP and W7 computer? Are the same character sets installed on both computers? It is seeming as though excel is not recognizing the character set and returning the integer value for the character.

I didnt want to read anything. I just wanted to write something in an Excel file which some of characters were in Arabic. At first when I opened Excel file it was kind of strange. So what I did was reconfigure Windows Language Settings ("Change System Local" in "Region and Language" window) into Arabic. After a Restart, LabVIEW handled Arabic characters pretty well. Thats all.
So whats your problem ?

Thank you so much for the report and for the sample Document! We were able to replicate and have filled an issue with the team so they can inspect and investigate what could be happening here that Text Elements fail to convert all the characters within to the appropriate Style.

Hi @raulrincon,
Do you have any updates on this issue?
To avoid this bug, We are using the old version of Sketch (96.3), which creates many problems and difficulties for the design team.
This issue probably affects all designers who work on Arabic and Persian languages. Please list this on critical issues.

Thank you for following up on this! I just messaged the team in charge of this to get an update, as there was some investigation happening around the issue, but the issue itself has not been updated yet.

I'm using Polyglossia to write a book of probability in arabic, and I've recently changed of machine, then I've some problems (great) of typesetting my old files, which are compiling usually in my old machine. One problem is that, with the font "traditional arabic", the compilation gives parenthesis behind the words... i.e are not on the some line with the characters...even if all the characters are latin.. see the following example, in referred equation and in it's reference. What happens and how can I solve this problem ?
