At first, sorry for cross-posting - initially I have tried to get an answer on KDE forums.

It here a workaround to get rar archives be treated as virtual directories?
I'm not afraid of applications build from git repo, if it does matter.
Up to date Manjaro Linux is in use.

Hi,

Should work at least for 2.5.0 release and git/master.

Compilation instructions can be found in Krusader manual:

Hope this helps.

Best regards,
Yuri

Yuri, thanks for links. I already use Krusader 2.5.0 (as far as I use up to date Manjaro, where the last one is just 2-3 behind Arch Linux). unrar is installed, and, say, Double Commander enters rar archives as to directories. Krusader enters into other archives (say zip ones), but for rar archives Krusadr just opens Arc.

Hello! I believe this was fixed in git version of Krusader. Can you please check mime-type of your RAR archive in Ark? Open it in Ark, press alt+enter and look for Mime-type entry. If you see "application/vnd.rar" this is the case fixed in yet unreleased git version. Workaround: link this mimetype with krarc protocol in Konfigurator -> Protocols settings.
