Missing Settings buttons

Hey!
I cannot find the "Configure Krusader" button in the Settings tab.
The tabs are very sparse in general and I don't think that's how it should look like, according to the documentation. For example, the only buttons in the Settings tab are:

Show Main Toolbar
Show Statusbar
Configure Language...
Configure Keyboard Shortcuts...
Configure Toolbars...

I'm using Krusader version 2.8.2-dev "A New Day" (gitrev: e6604455) on Linux Mint 21.3 Cinnamon 6.0.3.
(I've installed it today after having the same problem with the version 2.8.0.
Before that, I had installed version 2.7.2 from the Mint software manager, where the Konfigurator worked, but the icons were borked and I was advised to install the newest version manually.)

Do you have any idea where the problem might come from?

PS: I'm still new to Linux and computer stuff in general, please excuse me if this is some kind of a trivial problem.
