Hi All,

I just upgraded from Scientific Linux 7.4 (RHEL clone based
on CentOS) to Fedora Core 27.

# rpm -qa krusader
krusader-2.5.0-4.fc27.x86_64

I lost the progress bar progress bar when copying large files.
How do I get it back?

Many thanks,
-T

Are you on Plasma5? If yes, right click on Notifications in the system
tray and choose "Notifications Settings". Uncheck "Track file
transfers and other jobs".

I am using Xfce 4.12. The notification bar did show when
I was using 4.12 over on Scientific Linux 7.4 (RHEL clone).

Then it's simple: the copy dialog appears behind krusader, alt-tab can
switch to it.

I minimized everything except Krusader. Then I copied
something long. While copying, I minimized Krusader.
No joy. :'(

Alt tab did not show a progress windows either.

I'm not sure right now about progress windows in other-then-plasma desktops, but there is a built-in progress bar inside Krusader. Please check out "Job toolbar".
Settings -> Toolbars -> Show Job toolbar (to show/hide it)
Settings -> Configure toolbars (to optionally configure visible items in toolbars)

...if it is not there, then Job toolbar was probably added in version 2.6.0, please update to this version if it is possible.

No, I don't have that tool bar. Rats!

And 2.6.x is not in the repo's, including rpmfusion.

Anyway, I just asked Fedora to upgrade to 2.6.x

Followup:

krusader-2.7.0-1.fc28.x86_64.rpm is now available in the Fedora 28
repo.

The "job progress bar" now works and serves the same function as
the pop up progress bar, except there is on way to cancel a job.

Also, a bit off topic, but the Star Tech

StarTech.com Dual Port USB 3.1 Card – 1x USB-C – 1x USB-A – 10Gbps
per port – Expansion Card – USB 3.1 PCI-E Card – USB 3 PCI

Crashes your file system on large file transfers and crashes your
boot if anything is plugged into it when you boot.
