On screenshot the gradient stroked with red ellipse:

I'm trying to find a way to fix this color range pare-down issue.

Is color gradient at top of Krusader window feature of desktop
environment, or it is Krusader internal feature? Where it can be set
up or turned off? Shall I try to add into my system KDE configuration
tools? My system is Gnome based and there is no full KDE installation.

a) Krusader is launched on remote system.
b) The screenshot is obtained from "vncviewer" VNC client window on
client's machine.
c) Screenshot was obtained by remote system's program, while remote
access.
d) Launch assisted with VirtualGL gives the same ugly gradient - i.e.
when using remote 3D hardware of VNC server, not only VNC client's
one.
e) There is no such pared-down gradient while sitting at physical
local monitor.

Krusader version is 2.3.0-beta1 "New Horizons", build on Ubuntu 10.04
amd64, unknown version of KDE4. Current KDE Development Platform is
4.4.5 (KDE 4.4.5).

OS is Ubuntu 10.04, Gnome based. VNC server is TightVNC.

Hi,

this totally depends on the Qt style that is used.
You can set it in kde system seetings or via command line: krusader --style <stylename>
You can see which styles are available in "qtconfig".
