Is there a ready-made build of OpenAMP Linux+FreeRTOS that one can download for the snickerdoodle black?

Hi Keith,

We have indeed worked with OpenAMP (Linux/ROS+FreeRTOS) on snickerdoodle black but we don't yet have any formalized images posted. We have a few items ahead of it in 'the queue' but hoping we can get that up in the relatively near future.

Ryan,

Can you please try to provide some kind of time estimates for your line for the different tasks. I think it is many more than me who wonders how you reason on the priorities etc.

Hi Andreas,

I'm not entirely sure what you're asking for here. We are being as transparent as possible and have been providing public updates as frequently as appropriate, but it's not really practical for us to post a list of dozens of outstanding tasks. There is no doubt that we are behind schedule on pretty much everything, but we're doing the best we can to make everybody happy and fulfill 100% of our campaign promises.

Hi Ryan,

I do understand that you are pressed with the backlog of deliveries due since way back. But what I am asking for here is a list of tasks you intend to fulfill as well.
I am pretty sure the majority of the backers also expect the environment for the snickerdoodle to be a lot more mature than it is today. As I suggested earlier (as I know you are heavily stressed) to actually utilize the potential help from the backers to build this environment. But to do so it is up to you to create the conditions for this to happen. That is to ensure the krtkl github repositories are up-to-date with the latest and greatest. And that you try to create a roadmap on the features you foresee is needed to create the development environment.
I suggested some kind of Kansan board or tickets to do some kind of sprint planning. I think you have to put yourselves into the seat of your backers for a while and understand their expectations. The expectations goes much further than Krtkl delivering the hardware. The backers expect that you stand by your mission (http://krtkl.com/about/).

Best regards,
Andreas

Given that krtkl has three full-time employees, Kansan boards and burn down charts might be introducing more overhead than it's worth. However, if someone in the snickerdoodle community wants to volunteer their time to project management and administration, we won't be opposed. :)

I'm not sure which of the krtkl GitHub repositories aren't up to date? Obviously the documentation could use some work, we need a better website to help organize everything, and 1000 other things, but I don't believe there is anything fundamentally stopping community members from contributing to the code base at the moment. But perhaps I am still misunderstanding what you are asking for?

It was just a suggestion using a Kanban board. But in principle it could be as simple as just three lists:

1) Todo
2) In progress
3) Done

Even though you are only three full-time employees, I expect that you have some kind of planning governing your work. Why not show this to the backers, to allow them to appreciate what lies ahead.

What I personally is curious about is to see if there is anything on OpenAMP, and on the STM32 system controller source code to add features there. Be able to add JTAG over USB would be a smasher. For me personally it is not so critical as I have the equipment (HS3 is nice) but I am actually concerned for the other backers that doesn't have it and want a more plug'n'play solution similar to i.e usb blaster etc.

best regards,
Andreas
