Hi folks,

I bought a used snickerdoodle board from ebay. When I use the default non-root user name as "snickerdoodle", with password also "snickerdoodle" I receive the following message:

login as: snickerdoodle
Access denied
Access denied

The boot SD card "purchased with the board" contains the following files:
1- boot.bin
2- boot.script.img
3- devicetree.dtb
4- uEnv.txt
5- uImage

Anybody knows how to change the user password or how to create another bootable SD card. This is my first project and any help is appreciated.

regards,
Ismail

Hi Ismail,

It is highly probable that the old owner set the passwords or usernames to something unique.
I would recommend imaging a new microSD card with your PC.

Instructions for imaging a new card can be found here: https://wiki.krtkl.com/index.php?title=SD_Card
