SD Card I/O errors

While attempting to install VIM, my snickerdoodle lost its mind. The root FS was remounted (?) read-only and I got the following on the serial terminal:

Seemed to still work after hard reboot (shutdown commands yield "Unit poweroff.target is not loaded properly: Input/output error."). Failed again when I attempted to install VIM a second time.

I have a Snickerdoodle Black rev 4.1 that arrived yesterday. Yesterday, installing other packages (dbus, screen, strace, etc) worked fine.
