Snickerdoodle Virtual Machine

Has anyone been able to get the Snickerdoodle disk images to boot in the Xilinx fork of QEMU? I downloaded the source from https://github.com/Xilinx/qemu, then ran configure and make as directed. The build process went fine, but when I try to run a snickerdoodle image, passing the appropriate components as described at http://www.wiki.xilinx.com/QEMU+-+Zynq-7000, I get a message "rom: requested regions overlap" and then am left with a blinking cursor. No shell is started. I tried running with the plain Zynq image from here, and there is no error about regions overlapping, but no shell starts. Any ideas?
