What is the PIN assignement of the two 2x25-pin 68 I/Os plugs of the Smasher board?
Is it possible to download somewhere a layout of the Smasher board (including the assignment)?
Thanks for support.

HiSun,

Please see the following for the piSmasher schematic: https://github.com/krtkl/schematics/blob/master/piSmasher-schematic-r1p3.pdf

We plan to post the board files to GitHub within the next couple weeks. Stay tuned!

HiSun,

There have been a couple of necessary edits to the piSmasher board.   2 of the 68 GPIO had to be eliminated.
I've just pushed the most recent development version of the schematic to github:  https://github.com/krtkl/open-source-schematics/blob/master/piSmasher-schematic-r3p4-PRE-RELEASE.pdf

The layout revisions should be completed middle of next week and when we send those to production next week I will post the updated layout.
The arrangement of the connectors has been significantly improved to enhance the usability of the piSmasher.   Please see the attached screenshot.

JP1 disables the output from the HDMI receiver (many people will not use this) and therefore those 34 additional FPGA I/O become available on J9.

Will there be an opportunity to get an original style pi-Smasher board?

Hi Glenn,

If you mean the version shown in the campaign pictures, unfortunately no. We had to reconfigure the connector orientations to simplify layout so we could keep the PCB to 6 layers. This was done in an effort to maximize the usefulness of the designs for those who want to produce piSmasher themselves/tweak it to come up with their own baseboard.

Sorry for any inconvenience this might cause. Don't worry though, absolutely no functionality has been compromised - in fact, we recently went through the effort to match the signal lengths on piSmasher (just like snickerdoodle). As with all krtkl products, you will not be disappointed. :)
