Rajapur Jagannath – Chandan Yatra Darshan.

In Puri, Sandalwood paste is applied all over the body of Jagannatha leaving only his two eyes visible. The utsava murtis (functional Deities - Vijay utsav) are taken on procession and are placed in a boat in the temple pond. Chandan Yatra festival is being celebrated at Rajapur Sri Jagannath temple with splendor. Sri Jagannath, Baladeva and Subhadra are anointed with sandal wood paste. They were offered different veshas for 21 days. On the first day of Candan Yatra, they were dressed as Natabara – best of dancers.
