A Question about Kindness

Is kindness restricted to the human species? Can a spirit express
kindness while using other body types?
Science reports that it can. See the article below.

There was a film report some years ago of lions in Africa who were
requested by starving hyenas for food. The hyenas would go near the
lions and cry out again and again, until at last one lion decided to
help. That lion went on the hunt, killed a wildebeest and left it for
the hyenas.

It kindness towards the hyenas was ghastly for the wildebeast but it
was an act of kindness nevertheless. It goes to show that being kind
to one creature might mean being unkind to another.
