Sean's friend and fellow lifeguard Rob Darst is in from Australia. He has an interesting offer for Sean: leave Baywatch and help found a similar organization Down Under. Sean is surprised by the offer, but before he can really consider it, he and Rob are nearly run down by a runaway boat. The boat's captain, a weekend fisherman with a few too many beers under his belt, had knocked himself out when he tripped on his way to the bathroom. Rob is able to dive out of the way, but Sean gets caught in the boat's wake and, even though he dives off his paddleboard in time, is dumped and hit in the face by the paddleboard. J.D. rescues Sean while Jason and Zack perform a daring move: Zack jumps on the runaway boat as it careens towards the beach and shuts it down moments before disaster could have happened. Later, an ebulliant Zack walks into the locker room without checking to see if the "Men" or "Women" sign is displayed and accidentally catches sight of a naked Leigh. He is knocked out by the sight, but Leigh is nonplussed. Flustered, Zack then overhears Sean talking to Rob some more about potentially going to Australia. Sean still says "No," but the idea is clearly starting to have more appeal to him. Sean talks about his situation with Brian, who feels that Sean really wants to take the offer, but is staying because he has unresolved feelings for Leigh. Sean realizes he is probably correct and decides to see if, perhaps, their relationship can move to the next level. But it is too late: she has just accepted Sam's proposal of marriage. With that, Sean decides to go to Australia. Jason and Zack waste no time in letting him know that they, too, are interested in accompanying him. Sam invites Sean to his bachelor party, but Sean demurs. At the party, Jason urges Zack to confess to Sam that he has seen Leigh naked. Zack is nervous, but realizes it is the right thing to do. Sam, who already had been told about this by Leigh, decides to have a little fun with Zack: he hints that he is indeed upset and has killed at least ten men in Bosnia with his bare hands. Zack now really wants to go to Australia-he thinks he's a dead man! Meanwhile, J.D. is upset with the way Kekoa has been behaving. Wracked with guilt over what happened to her father, she has become a big time party girl and is quickly riding the road to ruin. In fact, she has broken off her engagement to J.D. At the engagement party, she is dancing with another guy, who is clearly getting way out of line. J.D. tries to intervene and winds up being hit. This leads to a knock down drag out battle between he and Kekoa in the parking lot. Finally, he tells her he is not going to let her go, and that her parents need her. His words get to Kekoa, who bursts into tears. They go to her home, where she tries to talk with her father. Tortured by guilt, she winds up running from the house. The next morning, Mr. Tanaka talks with J.D.: he is willing to let J.D. marry her if he will find her and let her know how sorry he is for hurting her. J.D. asks Sean if he is going to the wedding. Sean says that he was not planning to. J.D. thinks this is a mistake. After a lot of consideration, he decides to go after all. Since he's missed the last flight, he has to charter a helicopter and then take a rental car. On the way to the chapel, he witnesses a motorcycle veer too close to the edge of a bridge and plummet into the water. Ever the lifeguard, Sean stops and rescues the guy before continuing on to the church. At the chapel, Leigh is ready to begin her walk down the aisle when Sam and two other Navy Intel men come to the door: he has been called on another mission. They will have to postpone their wedding until he gets back. Leigh is sad, but says she understands. This gives Kekoa and J.D. a chance to talk. He tells her what her father said. She cannot believe he is suddenly siding with him. But J.D. reminds her that when two people love eachother, they can get through anything. Sean arrives, a little worse for the rescue, and is happy to hear the wedding was called off. He tries to let Leigh know how he feels, but she senses where he is going and tells him it's too late. It's too late for everything. Sean gives her a friendly hug. Sean decides to stay with Baywatch. J.D. and Zack are disappointed, but glad to have him back. Leigh, J.D. and Kekoa agree that they are happy he is planning to stay. Together the team heads back to their headquarters. (Series Finale.)
