Job Title: AWS Administrator
Location: Berkley Heights, NJ [Onsite)

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced AWS Administrator to manage, monitor, and optimize our AWS cloud infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with AWS services, cloud security, automation, system administration, and troubleshooting in production environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provision, configure, and maintain AWS cloud infrastructure.
  • Manage AWS services such as EC2, S3, VPC, IAM, RDS, CloudWatch, Route 53, ELB, Auto Scaling, and Lambda.
  • Monitor system performance, availability, and security using CloudWatch and other monitoring tools.
  • Implement and maintain backup, disaster recovery, and high-availability solutions.
  • Manage user access, roles, and permissions using IAM.
  • Perform patching, upgrades, and system maintenance activities.
  • Troubleshoot infrastructure, networking, and application-related issues.
  • Automate infrastructure deployment and configuration using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible).
  • Ensure compliance with security best practices and organizational standards.
  • Collaborate with DevOps, Development, and Security teams to support cloud initiatives.

Required Skills

  • Strong experience with AWS cloud platform.
  • Hands-on expertise in EC2, VPC, S3, IAM, RDS, Route 53, ELB/ALB, CloudWatch, SNS, and Lambda.
  • Experience with Linux (RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu) and/or Windows Server administration.
  • Knowledge of networking concepts including DNS, VPN, Load Balancing, TCP/IP, and Security Groups.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
  • Understanding of backup, disaster recovery, and cloud security best practices.
  • Experience with scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or PowerShell.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.

Preferred Qualifications

  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate.
  • AWS Certified SysOps Administrator – Associate.
  • Experience with Docker and Kubernetes/EKS.
  • Knowledge of DevOps methodologies and automation practices.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with multi-cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Exposure to security and compliance frameworks.
  • Experience with monitoring tools such as Splunk, Datadog, or New Relic.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
