Job Description
We are actively hiring Senior Front-End React Developers for multiple long-term opportunities supporting a high-profile project at American Express (AMEX). Candidates must have prior hands-on experience working within the AMEX environment and possess strong expertise in building enterprise-scale front-end applications.
Mandatory Requirements
Previous American Express (AMEX) experience is required.
Experience working on at least one AMEX application/project in a Front-End React capacity.
Candidates without AMEX experience will not be considered.
8+ years of overall IT experience with extensive front-end development expertise.
Ability to work in a hybrid model in Phoenix, AZ.
Required Skills
Strong experience with React.js and modern JavaScript (ES6+).
Hands-on experience with TypeScript.
Expertise in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and Responsive Web Design.
Experience with Redux, Context API, or other state management libraries.
Strong understanding of RESTful APIs and API integration.
Experience with front-end build tools such as Webpack, Babel, and NPM/Yarn.
Familiarity with Git and collaborative development workflows.
Experience writing unit tests using frameworks such as Jest and React Testing Library.
Knowledge of Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
Preferred Qualifications
Prior experience delivering applications within the AMEX ecosystem.
Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
Local candidates to Phoenix, AZ are highly preferred.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain scalable front-end applications using React.
Build reusable and maintainable UI components.
Collaborate with product owners, architects, designers, and backend teams.
Integrate front-end applications with enterprise APIs and services.
Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards.
Troubleshoot, optimize, and enhance application performance.
Contribute to all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
