It’s true that when there’s danger anyone who’s pious thinks right away of Krsna. But if the danger culminates in death, then death is such a violent shock to the spirit soul in the body that he’s more preoccupied with that condition. It’s not the best time to chant Hare Krsna. Although it is the most crucial time, the best condition is now.
