Subject: The Miracle and Mercy of "Many Moons"
------------------------------------------------------------
Dear Guru Maharaja,

Please accept my humble obeisances at your lotus feet. All glories to Your Divine Grace. All glories to Srila Prabhupada.

My nani's (maternal grandmother's) health has deteriorated and now she can hardly walk, because of a severe spinal condition. As you may be aware, she is a special devotee and has real taste for hearing and reading about Krishna. By the Lord's mercy, she is still able to read and remember very well and spends most of her time reading Srimad-Bhagavatam and other books.
She has started to read "Many Moons" and has been very enlivened by it.

Yesterday she tripped and fell in her room. She was alone, with no one to help her. After struggling for a long time to get up, she took solace from "Many Moons" by reading the chapter about Bhakti Tirtha Swami. She read about how he reciprocated with several devotees in their dreams and how at the end he took exclusive shelter of the holy name. Feeling very inspired by his example, she started to chant intensely, loudly calling out the holy names. Then, as she described it, a remarkable thing happened. As she looked at a picture of Radha and Krishna in front of her, They seemed to come to life. She was stunned. She clearly felt Their presence. She also said that this was the result of her reading "Many Moons" and the divine mercy of the great devotees she read about. She said that as she chanted, she prayed to Bhakti Tirtha Swami for his mercy and guidance, and now she has personal experience of how these merciful personalities are always present to help and uplift us.

For several years she has been suffering from acute pain and insomnia. After this incident, her pain vanished and for the first time in years she was able to sleep peacefully.

She also told me to tell you that you are a genius writer, and because of your wonderful descriptions and realizations she has become addicted to reading "Many Moons." She said that you are also one such moon. As she related all this to me, she was choked with tears.

I feel that her end is near, but she seems to be joyously awaiting death.
She constantly speaks about Krishna, about what she has read or heard.
Although her health is failing, her mind is clear and her memory is impeccable. Srila Prabhupada's mercy is inconceivable, and the mercy of his "Many Moons" are readily available if we take shelter.

"Many Moons" will continue to inspire many people to surrender to Krishna and make their lives successful. Thank you for your priceless contribution and valuable gift to all of us. You are that brilliant moon of Srila Prabhupada that lights up our lives.

Thank you.

Hare Krishna.

Your insignificant servant
Nikunja Vilasini dasi
