Dear Friends
I am investigating the possibility of organising a small gathering/
retreat here in Hamilton. At this stage all details can be regarded as
tentative, and can be firmed up later, perhaps with consultation – at
the moment I am enquiring if people would be interested in attending
such a gathering.
In order to gather for a few days, the dates which seem most
convenient are the long Easter weekend – Saturday 7th April to Monday
9th.
What might be a topic or theme for such a gathering or retreat? We are
faced with a great crisis in the world. This crisis is manifesting in
everything that man touches – environmentally, socially, politically,
morally …. there seems no end. Things are far worse now than in the
decades when Krishnamurti spoke so passionately about the state of the
world. Everything about us is collapsing.
K was very clear that the root of all problems lies in human
consciousness, and that appropriate action can only originate there.
Investigating the nature of this action could be the basis of our
gathering together.
Mankind seems incapable of thinking together to meet these crises, and
that also could perhaps be part of our investigations.
As for practical details, I am thinking in terms of accommodation
being arranged at a motel in Hamilton, with the gathering and main
meals at the house here at Ryburn Road, where the krishnamurti-nz
postal lending library is housed. Our amenities here would not allow a
large gathering. If you are interested in attending, please contact me
soon at

With warm regards
Clive
