Hi everyone,
We are happy to announce a special FREE 2 day yoga workshop next week at Pitt. We were able to get a very experienced yoga instructor from New York, Boaz Ramos, to come and facilitate this for our club. Please take advantage of this rare opportunity. Note that on Monday the class will be at the Union Assembly Room, and open to all, but yoga club members will be given FIRST PRIORITY. The Tuesday class will be during the regular time at the Pete. Tuesday members will of course have preference for this class, but there should still be 10-20 open spaces for others who want to attend.
Also dont forget about the Charity Benefit Kirtan at Schoolhouse yoga in Squirrel Hill tomorrow (saturday) at 7:30pm.
Here are the details of the workshop:
2 days of classes with guest teacher Boaz Ramos
Topic: Full Engagement
“To be fully engaged, we must be physically energized, emotionally connected, mentally focused, and spiritually aligned with a purpose beyond our immediate self interest. To do this calls for a fundamental shift in our yoga."
Baoz is a visiting yoga teacher from New York. He specializes in presenting the yoga philosophy in practical terms and challenging his students to expand their realm of action and contemplation. He lives a dynamic yoga life and shares that with each of his students. Boaz has been studying yoga philosophy and asana for the past ten years while living both in America and India. Expect to be introduced to new ways of perceiving life and entering new asana.
CLASS 1: Monday, Oct. 26, 6:30pm at the Pitt Union, Assembly Room
CLASS 2: Tuesday, Oct. 27, 6:30pm at the Petersen event center, Multipurpose room.
Make sure you bring your mat.
Thanks. See you there.
