Thanks to everyone who showed up for the Schoolhouse kirtan Saturday night!  Our next date for that venue is February 21st at 7:30pm.

On Thursday, our very own Chaitanya das will be a featured speaker at Focus the Nation.   Focus the Nation is a national teach-in to address climate change as the social justice issue of our time.  The event will be going on from 11am-5pm in the Cathedral of learning.  Contact freethep...@gmail.com for more information.

This week we've moved up our vegetarianism and yoga classes to start at 6pm, Srimad Bhagavatam class will start at 7:30 like usual.  Here is the schedule for the week:


Vegetarianism 101 - Mini Course Series
Time: Tuesdays, 6-7pm
Location: Pitt Union Basement
Free Fresh Cooked Vegan Meal served after class

Kirtan Yoga and Mantra Meditation 101 - Weekly Workshop
Time: Thursdays 6-7pm
Location: U Pitt Union Basement, Stress Free Zone Room.
Free Fresh Cooked Vegan Meal served after class

Focus the Nation - Vegetarianism is Environmentalism
Time: Thursday 2-3pm
Location: The Ukrainian Room, Cathedral of Learning

The Vedas: Bhagavad Gita, Srimad Bhagavatam, and More - Mini Course Series - Learn what things like Karma, Yoga, Dharma, Guru, Eternity, and Time really are. As given by the oldest books in the world.
Time: Wednesdays, 7:30-9pm
Location: Krishna Cooperative Culture and Wellness Center (4610 Winthrop St, Rear Entrance)
Fresh Cooked Vegan Meal served before class

Free Kirtan Session @ Maggies!- Maggie has kindly agreed to host this weekly session meant for the upliftment and unification of one and all. Come partake of the vegan eats and transcendent beats.
Time: 7-8pm Fridays
Location: Maggie's Vegan Restaurant, 300 South Craig St., Oakland
Cost: Free

Morning Program- Experience a morning of 'sadhana' (inner cultivation) as practiced by monks, yogis, and sages of ancient India. Begins with bhajans, songs sung in bengali and sanskrit, followed by reading and discussion from the Srimad Bhagavatam, a 5000 year old book of wisdom considered to be one of the most prominent Vedic texts.
Open to all.
Time: Every morning, 7:30am-9:00am

Simple Lunch - Monday - Saturday, 11:30am - 2pm. Fresh food. $3 donation. Get it at the Krishna Cooperative.
