Welcome back everyone!

Hopefully you all had a relaxing break and are back ready for more kirtan!  Our monthly event at Schoolhouse Yoga will be held this Saturday, March 21st, just in time to celebrate the coming of spring by chanting, dancing and feasting.  Video clips from the last event can be found online on our youtube page.

Our Friday night kirtans are now being held at the Krishna Cooperative from 7-8pm due to a change in hours of operation at Maggie's, so please check our website for more details about that and other upcoming events.

Here is a schedule for the upcoming week:

Schoolhouse Yoga Charity Benefit Kirtans - Schoolhouse Yoga has kindly agreed to host regular kirtans for the wellness of the attendees and the world. 100% of proceeds will be donated to charity. Krishna Cooperative’s experienced kirtan artists will be serving as the kirtan leaders.
Time: 7:30-9:30pm, Saturday, March. 21
Cost: $10 Donation to Food For Life
Place: Schoolhouse Yoga Studio, Squirrel Hill Location (2010 Murry Ave)

Vegetarianism 101 - Mini Course Series
Time: Tuesdays, 6-7pm
Location: Pitt Union Basement
Cost: Free for Students and Faculty, $108 for all others
Free Fresh Cooked Vegan Meal served after class

Yoga and Mantra Meditation 101 - Weekly Workshop

Time: Thursday 1st class: 6:00-7:00pm 2nd: 7:30-8:30pm
Location: U Pitt Union Basement, Stress Free Zone Room.
Cost: Free for Students and Faculty, $5 per class for all others
Free Fresh Cooked Vegan Meal served after class

The Vedas: Bhagavad Gita, Srimad Bhagavatam, and More - Mini Course Series - Learn what things like Karma, Yoga, Dharma, Guru, Eternity, and Time really are. As given by the oldest books in the world.
Time: Wednesdays, 7:30-9pm
Location: Krishna Cooperative Culture and Wellness Center (4610 Winthrop St, Rear Entrance)
Cost: Free for Students and Faculty, $108 for all others
Fresh Cooked Vegan Meal served after class

Friday Night Kirtans - Come out and enjoy some tasty vegan eats and transcendental beats!

Time: Fridays @ 7:00pm-8:00pm       Location: Krishna Cooperative Cultural Center

Morning Program- Experience a morning of ’sadhana’ (inner cultivation) as practiced by monks, yogis, and sages of ancient India. Begins with bhajans, songs sung in bengali and sanskrit, followed by reading and discussion from the Srimad Bhagavatam, a 5000 year old book of wisdom considered to be one of the most prominent Vedic texts.
Open to all.
Time: Every morning, 7:30am-9:00am

Simple Lunch - Monday - Friday, 11:30am - 2pm. Fresh food. $3 donation. Get it at the Krishna Cooperative.
