Dear Friend,

We are in the process of getting official recognition for the Krishna Cooperative and its services to the Hindu student population of Carnegie Mellon University. They have requested that we demonstrate that we are offering valuable services to the hindu student population, so we would be very grateful if you could write a brief email stating that you attend classes and other events presented by us, and that it is an important part of your connection to your Hindu culture.

Just a brief email is all that is required. We will print them all off and present them to the CMU interfaith committee so they know we are offering services to hindu students. If we are able to get official recognition we will be able to greatly enhance the quality and quantity of services we are able to offer at CMU.

Please include in you email your name, year, and department at CMU for reference.

Here is a sample email:

Hello,

My name is Mahatma Ghandi and I am a Computer Science Masters student at CMU. I am a member of the Krishna Cooperative hindu alliance, and I would just like to say that they are providing a valuable service to me and other Hindu students that allows us to stay well connected with and better understand our own faith and how to practice it in my present stresful situation. They have been a very positive influence in my life, and I am very happy they are becoming more active on the CMU campus.

Thank you very much.

Sincerely,
Mahatma Ghandi
