VAIRAGYA and ABHYASA
VAIRAGYA
This is not renunciation or leaving out all attachments but "Special Attachment". Vai = special and Ragya = attachment.
This special attachment is very intense and lasts forever.
These days people are after money and for this reason, they ignore parents and friends and everything and often commit sins or not care for their fruits of actions.. This type of special attachment or vairagya or intoxication with money is an indication but, if such low toxicity is such how dangerous could the real vairagya be?
Vairagya or special attachment with money or any exchange instrument is not materialistic in nature. Materials like food or cloth or any utility are temporary or perishable as its need reduces after it gets fulfilled. But money although is a useless object as it cannot be eaten or consumed directly and because of this it is not perishable. Money is useful only for its property of exchange amongst all material universally. Money is misused if it is accumulated and not put to its good uses.
This, which is useless if not used in exchanges in the world and which is used universally and which is not owned to any individual whoever uses it, is called the Money. All people in this time of world are steadfastly in state of this vairagya with money.
Similar is the real vairagya but is more intense than any artificial or manmade examples of money. This (money equivalent) is given by the mother nature and is called LIFE. Life is not ours but it is a currency which is useless without we using in exchanges among ourselves ( karma) and it is with all and each one of us equally and universally.
Money makes some one rich at some time and another time, poor. Warren Buffet is rich person. He is like a crocodile. Crocodile eats poor fishes. Similarly, amount of life in each one of us increase and decrease and this game of money is unending like our lives one after another. We are not life ( birth or death) but its users in a game of this world.
If we understand vairagya correctly, we must use our lives without a sense of ego and yet use it for good of all. This is true definition of vairagya or special attachment.
ABHYASA or practice
Doing things again and again gives us the expertise. By expertize, our efforts reduce. This effortlessness comes by knowing tricks of the trade or knowledge. By continuity of reduced efforts and increased knowledge, we become finally effortless. Worries of uncertainty or falling from a state of achievement comes by sharing of knowledge. By this sharing, competition or conflict ends and saved energy is used for effortless success of the all.
This is called Ashram or absense of shram. Comfort is an act of repetitive action to maintain a success or level of achievement and it can never be effortless. Acts of driving a car or swimming or patient in hospital are examples of comfort. Employees are never effortless ( remain insecure or unsatisfied) but they are in comfort by maintaining an ego.
Ego is a result of effort. If we achieve a success by great effort, we would not like it to forego and hold it very tightly. This effort in comfort of an achievement is call ego. More is the ego, more effort is added. Success becomes increasingly difficult as we progress.
Practice uses effort to make an achievement effortless and effortlessness reduces ego of any achievement. Success is then becoming increasingly easier.
Vairagya and abhyas these two words are thus explained. In other words, VAIRAGYA is karm or mutual interaction or beneficial exchanges and ABHYASA is Gyan or opening up of knowledge by practice.
Amen
