Authentic Indian Mela at Barsana Dham

Barsana Dham's annual open house and Mela (Indian Fair) is set for
Saturday, April 24th, from 12 noon to 5:00 PM. This family friendly
event combines the fun and food of a fair with the tours and talks of
an open house.

An outdoor stage will showcase a variety of festive Indian dances
throughout the day. There will be walking tours and regular
presentations inside the Temple describing life at the ashram. You
can view the beautiful wildflower meadows at Barsana Dham by walking,
from a Clydesdale drawn buggy or a miniture train.

Balloon twisters, jugglers, acrobats, parrot tricks, palm readers and
a clown add to the exciting atmosphere. You can have your hands
decorated with elaborate mehndi patterns, purchase unique clothing,
jewelry, artwork in the shopping bazaar.

Enjoy favorite Indian delicacies like dosas, samosas, mango lassi,
bhel puri and much more. Everyone can play games, win prizes, play on
the inflatables, visit the petting zoo, or take a pony ride. Everyone
is welcome to attend the Mela at Barsana Dham, located at 400 Barsana
Rd. on FM 1826 (Camp Ben McCullough Rd.). Admission is $5.00 per car.
