Hi guys,
that was a very interesting meeting. Thanks to Piotr and the organizers.
BTW I had planed to make a lightning talk about a teaching project I do in cooperation with Base, but was more interested in Łukasz's voyage to Carribean :-)
Anyway, this semester I started teaching an advanced course in Ruby on Rails at the Jagiellonian University. I am mostly concerned with the code quality, so I talk about TDD, LoD, SRP, TDA and other fancy abbreviations all the time. On the other hand, since I am not involved in many "real-world" projects due to my academic background, I would be very happy to listen to some constructive criticism.
The theory and the code is available on github [1] - it's still a work-in-progress, so you may find many TODOs and blank spaces, yet there is some content you can look at.
For those who are interested in spreading best practices regarding Ruby and Rails - please take a look at the task definitions and the attached code.
Thanks in advance,
Aleksander
