Apologies for late update/edit: Please note that there while there been a major update accepted by the SEM to have the melee cap for R.A.E lifted. This is a change Lochac will be exploring in the future, but currently we are still at the 10 person cap (5 per side max).
Important updates for all Lochac Fencers and Marshals!
Thank you to everyone who has been participating in the Inter-Kingdom Reduced Armour Experiment. Your ongoing reporting has been so valuable, and due to the data collected Society fencing armour minimums have been updated.
At this stage, our current rules (and current armour standards) remain unchanged, but we are in the process of incorporating the reduced minimums into our rule set at a Kingdom level.
The universe clearly saw my ‘at least I won’t have to update the handbook during my term’ as a challenge.
R.A.E
The Reduced Armour Experiment for standard rapier is continuing in Lochac. We have permission to continue with all three options as they currently exist, although the reporting form has been updated to capture results for reduced torso only.
There has also been a major update accepted by the SEM which is that the melee cap for R.A.E has been lifted. EDIT: This is a change Lochac will be exploring in the future, but currently we are still at the 10 person cap (5 per side max) for melee involving reduced armour.
