ZFS performance

Hi all,

i know the implementation is at a very early stage, but are there any
plans to bring the performance somwhat near a usable state?

E.g. i tried to backup a 100GB filesystem via 100Mbit network using
rdiff-backup.
I wouldn't care if it taked 2 hours more then normal, but in fact it
would take DAYS (1-2GB/hour).

FYI im using 4 500GB discs as a RaidZ.
