Hi,
My name is Chris and am the resource manager for AES Group. We are a
niche consulting organization specializing in Oracle EBS. We recruit
consultants who are very experienced and have proven track record for
our direct customer requirements. Our customer is looking for a
Senior Linux System Administrator. I wanted to find out if you will be

Title: Senior Linux System Administrator
Location: Redmond, WA
Duration: 12+ months
Status: Citizen or GC or H1b
Rate: $40 to $50/Hr (DOE)
We are looking for a very sr. Linux system administrator to maintain
several linux server, VM ware environment, NetApp Storage and making
changes to maintenance scripts ( shell and perl ). Any experience
working in Oracle (EBS) environment is a big plus.
Job Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the physical implementation, performance, integrity,
security, documentation, and support of Linux server environments.
- Systems Administration and Support: executes day to day maintenance
tasks including problem determination and resolution, as well as root-
cause analysis.
- Responsible for responding to live issues and for executing
software, platform, and configuration changes.
- Documentation: Provides and maintains documentation of systems
architecture, troubleshooting and support guidelines, system metrics,
and project information//plans.
- Systems Management: ensures the use of performance data and
historical metrics to effectively plan for growth needs, plan
upgrades, migrations, and optimizations, new implementations, identify
and resolve efficiency issues, and improve functionality.
- Standards and Best Practices: participates in the development of
best practices including capacity planning, monitoring, configuration,
security, historical metrics, recovery strategies, and migration
strategies.
- Responsible for validation of and adherence to these defined
standards.
- Process: participates in the continual refinement of processes and
policies to ensure the highest possible performance and availability
of our systems.

Qualifications:
- 5-7 years experience supporting business-critical enterprise Linux
systems including SAN/Storage configurations.
- Detailed knowledge of hardware technologies and systems support –
build, install, administration, configuration, troubleshooting,
performance tuning, security, and general maintenance of Intel
platforms.
- Detailed knowledge of core Internet and networking protocols (DNS,
DHCP, TCP/IP, HTTP, HTTP/S, SSH, etc).
- Experience in monitoring and administration of server systems,
including performance optimization for Oracle database and application
systems.
- Strong storage technology skills, including performance monitoring
and troubleshooting (Netapp SAN, Volume Management).
- Strong monitoring skills (Nagios/Cacti is a plus)
- Strong understanding of server virtualization technology using
VMware technology(ESX Cluster/VMWare).
- Strong Perl/bash shell scripting skills
