Ideal home: fixer uppers, foreclosures, Ranch, minimum 2 bedroom, secluded, sets far back from the road, off-grid (solar, wind), straw-bale, adobe, cob, natural construction, rammed earth, earthberm, log cabin, earthship, or brick/stone in zone 5-6-7. Square footage below 2,000 with wide-open floor plans/doorways, eat in kitchen, Southwest style, rustic style appreciated.
Land in the Country: 60+ acres, private-no neighbors in view, acreage (for goat ranching mainly and practicing organic permaculture gardening), partial forested (brushy as goats prefer to eat plants with leaves instead of grass), elevation appreciated (maybe hilly or classified as un-farmable), fresh water source (Spring, stream, creek, river, well) no industry, no large scale monoculture agriculture (close by) in the area, no irrigation or flat land needed, bordering protected land, canoeing, horse trails, wineries and alternative schools are welcomed.
We will entertain any home business especially farm/ranch based. We are college educated, energetic, highly motivated, self-starters with extensive know-how and experience with organic/biodynamic/sustainable/permaculture techniques, growing and marketing, dairy/meat goats, sheep, horse, livestock dogs, poultry, and basic maintenance to manage a farm.
Minimum Requirements: we want a (small, cheap) 2 bedroom possible well, with several acres.
