Hello fellow Permies!

I am going to be doing a talk at the Lawrence Public Library on Feb 12 from 6-8PM on the near term impacts of climate change and some steps to take now to be more ready. The description and my bio are below. I also plan to livestream it and if people are interested, I can send the link for that out at the start of the event or you can check my facebook page (Amber Thumann - pic if of blackberries and the event is public). I hope to see some of you there!

The Case For Change

Do you have a feeling of dread about the future? Are you worried about what may happen, but you aren't sure why? Do you know there are problems, but you aren't sure how they will impact you? This talk will discuss many of the challenges we are facing in the coming years - peak oil, increasing natural disasters, new diseases, climate chaos, and energy limits to name a few. It will review those challenges and the impacts they are likely to have in the near term, then will give you the 3 things you should do NOW to help yourself and those you care about. The darkness is real, but there is light inside it.
