As much as I love all you guys, I wasn't sad to leave early last
night! She was a talker!!!
Turns out my trip to Carlsbad was actually really nice. My friend and
her husband are in phase two of South Beach and they're super strict
so we talked about diet and exercise for over an hour! I wound up
having a really nice time and felt really motivated afterward. The 3-
year old kid even liked me so that was a nice change of pace. I had a
decaf coffee while they each had a glass of wine and it was no big
deal.
I just need to vent about how sick I am of Optifast more frequently
than I did in the beginning. I'm annoying myself with all my
complaining! I'm actually on Day 3 of no cheating and I'm trying to
think about it one shake at a time. One of my coworkers uses a vision
board (she's big into The Secret :) and I made a mini-version in my
planner. I have a few cutouts of swimsuits, dresses, vacation spots,
golf outfits, etc... from magazines taped up so I can constantly
remind myself of why I need to stick with this. Probably sounds really
cheesy, but I'll try anything to stay motivated. I also have like 9
boxes of Optifast sitting in the pantry and not using those is like
throwing money out the window. Not gonna happen!
You guys are all doing so great- I love seeing the numbers on the
board every week. Knowing that none of you are cheating makes me feel
bad and that's how it's supposed to work! I have two dinners planned
in Vancouver and I know the restaurants so I'm planning out my menu
now. I'm going to have a salmon salad, dressing on the side of course,
at one place and the grilled chicken and vegetables at the other.
Going in with a game plan should help.
On a completely unrelated note, the La Costa Resort in Carlsbad is
dope! Wow. I want to go on a staycation there.
