Hey guys...

I was just sitting at my desk and feeling so over this whole thing....
then I remembered it was Monday. I spent the whole weekend at a
'Padres Bender,' meaning we went to all the games and as we all know,
there was plenty of great food and drinks...

I am just really wanting to eat these days. I am finding summer to be
so much harder than the winter/spring.... long story short, I am so
happy we started this program 5 months ago.

There's my vent... See you all Wednesday

As if you guys didn't already know, but I'm so over it!!! I called
Cornelia last week to let her know I'd be moving into maintenance but
I haven't joined one yet. I seriously can't stand the Wednesday
meetings anymore. Not that I don't want to see you guys, but having to
hear all this stuff all over again is more than I can handle.

I wish there was an "opti-express" for people that didn't hit their
goal in 20 weeks, ya know? I could manage a 30 minute blood draw,
weigh in and stand up meeting. Oh well... I don't know what I'm gonna
do. I still have 5 weeks of product so I was thinking about just doing
the pfe's on my own without the meetings and then joining maintenance
once I'm closer to goal.

To the Weds Warriors:

I am ready and waiting for maintenance.  The weekly class is doing nothing.  I cant not anylyze one more thing about my life.

If you guys will have me I would love to tag along to maintenance with y'all.  Let me know the day of the week and time.  I will call in and sign up.  Cornelia and I have played phone tag but she will sign me over.

On the other hand,  by "eating clean" (thank you agaom Amanda for telling me about this book) and using tools I learned  I dropped two and a half pounds last week.  I see light at the end of the tunnel.

Let me know.

You dropped 2 & 1/2 lbs? That's awesome!!! I'm so beat down with this
new job I haven't called about maintenance classes yet. I need to do
them after work or on the weekends now :(

Dont let the stress get to you Monica,  it adds on the pounds faster than anything.  Maybe we should all meet one evening at a centrally located coffee shop and tell each other what to do?  Think of a battime and batplace.  Ideas anyone??

Hi Amanda,

Maintenance was a blast, I've never had a more positive experience since I've been at Kaiser. In my class we really focused on cooking nutriciously and excersizing. Most of us will be running the AFC half marathon together next month. And if you're not interesting in strenuous excersize they do plenty of weekly walks and nutricious dinning together. Good luck on reaching your goal and stay strong!

Best Wishes,

Adam

Hi all,

speaking of maintenence here's and email I just recieved from Vince on upcoming events. If you can't start yet maybe try showing up to some of these and see what you think;

Hello Everyone,

I hope you all are enjoying your summer and staying fit.  I want to give you some updates for some upcoming opportunities:

1.  July 30th, 830 - 10am, Miramar Lake - A FREE walk jog training session.  I will be leading this group with the guidance of www.PeakFindersTraining.com to get everyone on a training path to complete the upcoming 4.6 mile MROF Lemon Run which will be held Sunday, September 25th.  See attached flyer.  RSVP is needed by responding to this email.

2.  We are featuring Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation, a non-profit committed to raising money and awareness for childhood cancer research.  Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation along with Max's Ring of Fire (MROF) non-profit are the ones putting on the MROF Lemon Run.  Visit our website www.AQLife.org for more information.

3.  Sunday, September 25.  I want everyone to put this date on their calendar to walk or jog around Miramar Lake supporting the MROF Lemon Run to help raise money and awareness for childhood cancers.  It's a great opportunity to get us all together and do this 4.6 mile loop for cancer research.  Learn more at www.AQLife.org

4.  We have a goal of raising $300 so please visit our donation page at http://www.alexslemonade.org/mypage/75176 and be part of our team.

I know this will be a great time and opportunity to get us all back on track or to stay on track for both fitness and giving back to the community.

Please RSVP and let me know if you are able to make the July 30th training session.

Sincerely,
Vince Alvarez,

Hey guys---
Not sure who I'll see tonight. Let's plan something for next week
where we can all meet up and discuss and figure out if we can make it
in the same maintenance class.
My update... still hanging in there... no cheating yet! I will be
giving myself a break on my birthday next week, however. I know it
won't be recommended, but I am really excited and tired of feeling
left out. My family is being really supportive and making it not only
a birthday celebration but the -106.5 (and growing) celebration... we
will eat healthy and together, which is all I really want. As of now,
I do plan on jumping right back into full fast and finishing off the
last 15 or so... I don't know if I will be able to, so I have prepared
myself mentally for the possibility of having to go straight into
PFEs. I'll be okay with that option as well.
I look forward to seeing all of you soon... as for scheduling...
how about Wednesday or Thursday night next week?
