Veterinarian Danny Trevanion, his wife Sarah, and their children: Rosie, Evan and Olivia, set out from Bristol, England for a holiday in Africa to rehabilitate a vervet monkey. Evan hasn't adjusted well to Sarah's divorce and is a victim of school bullying. Their short holiday looks like it could turn out quite differently when they arrive at Leopards Den and meet Anders Du Plessis and his housekeeper Nomsa.
Danny considers investing all their money by signing a binding business contract with Anders Du Plessis, whose family has owned Leopards Den for more than 100 years. Competition from Mara, a nearby luxury lodge and much larger reserve, could threaten their hoped-for livelihood. Evan and Du Plessis accidentally injure a cheetah, but all attention turns to Olivia when she is bitten by a deadly cobra.
Sarah is furious when her ex-husband Simon arrives unexpectedly with his girlfriend Ruby and threatens legal action if Sarah won't allow him to take Evan and Olivia back to England. On Rosie's first night working at a local bar, a drunken brawl breaks out but Alex Tate, owner of Mara Lodge, is watching out for her.
In the shocking series finale, amidst a raging wildfire, Sarah dies attempting to save the life of their pet cheetah Jana. The family is plunged into grief and mourning, and it's unclear what the future holds for them. As reconstruction on the animal hospital begins, they try to come to terms with their tragic loss.
Danny is put in charge of culling a large number of animals to bring an outbreak of rabies under control. A new vet, Alice Collins arrives from the city to help. When her young daughter Charlotte wanders off into the bush, a tragedy is narrowly averted. Meanwhile Evan returns to Africa after spending time at home in England with his father.
Danny confides in Dup about his intention to ask for Alice's hand in marriage, but the unexpected and turbulent arrival of his deeply troubled teenage stepdaughter Olivia threatens to derail his plans.
When Dup learns of Caroline's intention to buy them a retirement home he confesses to Olivia that he's given their savings away to help his son. Danny and Alice try to find a home for a rare aardwolf, but Vanessa's father, who has arrived to help save Mara from financial ruin, refuses to cooperate.
While on honeymoon in London Danny and Alice meet Danny's estranged father Robert, who returns with them to Leopards Den to help save the pride of lions from a deadly outbreak of canine distemper. Robert reveals he has brain cancer. How will Danny cope with the loss of both his father and his beloved pride of lions?
Dup learns he has a life-threatening heart condition. With relationship issues causing tension in the family and Danny unhappy about the forthcoming marriage of Rosie and her fianc Dylan, Dup grasps at the opportunity for one last adventure to heal the rifts. Against the backdrop of the wedding celebration, Danny pays tribute to Dup and to Leopards Den. Dup slips quietly away to the rocky outcrop where years earlier he made the decision to invite the Trevanions to live at Leopards Den. With tears of love Caroline explains, "He'll always be here." Framed by the setting sun, Dup removes his hat and closes his eyes.

One Last Wish and Wild Heart Beats are the fourteenth episode of the second season of My Little Pony: Pony Life and the fortieth episode overall. It marks the final episode of the season.
With their Cotton Candy Comet wishes having been stolen by Discord, the Mane Six wonder how to get rid of all the chaos magic running wild around Ponyville. Pinkie Pie recalls from their exploration of Discord's mind in the previous episode that today is Discord's birthday; therefore, he gets a birthday wish. Fluttershy suggests throwing Discord a birthday party so that he can use his wish to return Ponyville to normal.
Twilight Sparkle and Rarity go to buy party decorations from party store owner Cheerilee, but Cheerilee's entire stock is out, so Rarity substitutes some old film props in her bedroom closet. Applejack and Fluttershy go to ask DJ Pon-3 to provide music for the party, but DJ leaves for a tropical vacation at the last second, so Applejack and Fluttershy borrow her musical equipment. When the party preparations are finished, however, Pinkie discovers the sugar she used in Discord's birthday cake was swapped with exploding sugar, causing the cake to explode and splatter all over the walls when Rainbow Dash lights the candles.
When Discord enters and sees the party the ponies have put together for him, he is very delighted by the chaotic decorations and splattered birthday cake. He also reveals that he knew about the party the entire time, having bought out the entire stock of Cheerilee's store, sent DJ Pon-3 away on vacation, and swapped out Pinkie's sugar. The Mane Six believe their plans to restore Ponyville are ruined, but Discord, happy with the chaos he created, agrees to use his birthday wish to turn Ponyville back to normal and blows out his birthday candles.
Picking up immediately where the previous episode left off, the Mane Six find that Ponyville is still flooded with chaos magic. Twilight and Spike have switched bodies, the Wild Siders are dragged from their home dimension and into the ponies' dimension, and Fluttershy uncontrollably sings everything she says, among other chaotic happenings. Twilight theorizes that the cosmic wish energy in Equestria is intermingling with magic from the Wild Side, causing the two dimensions to start merging into one.
Following Lightning Chill's instruction, the ponies gather together several magical objects from past episodes: Pinkie's crystal-capturing device from The Crystal Capturing Contraption, the bubble wand from Bubble Trouble, and the time capsule box from Time After Time Capsule. The Mane Six and the Wild Siders infuse these objects with their combined magic, turning them into tools to bring the chaos magic under control.
The Mane Six, the Wild Siders, and the many new friends they have made over the past season all work together to rid Equestria of chaos magic while singing the song Wild Heart Beats. When nearly all the chaos magic has been eradicated, the ponies realize once it is all gone, they and the Wild Siders may never see each other again. After a tearful goodbye, the Wild Siders return to their dimension, and Ponyville is fully restored to normal. Meanwhile, Discord keeps a small amount of chaos magic for himself in a bottle on his shelf, and the bottle cracks slightly.
"Wild at Heart" is the sixth episode of the fourth season of Buffy the Vampire Slayer and the sixty-second episode in the series. Written by Marti Noxon and directed by David Grossman, it was originally broadcast on November 9, 1999, on The WB network.
Buffy is chased by a vampire, which she fights and then stakes. Her well-thought puns are not appreciated. Spike watches from a distance and promises trouble, but he is struck by tasers and carried off by the masked and heavily armed people lurking in the Sunnydale shadows.
In the Bronze, the Scooby Gang talk about college and why they're still hanging at the Bronze. To their surprise, Giles joins them. Veruca's band, Shy, starts to play and all the guys are mesmerized by her singing, which distresses Willow.
The next morning, Willow wakes up in Oz's bed and they talk about how they'll be apart for three nights while there's a full moon keeping Oz locked up, and a Wicca group is meeting on those three nights. In class, Buffy gets a great grade on a psychology paper and Professor Walsh asks her to lead a discussion group on the topic. Willow is excited for feeling academically envious of Buffy.
Veruca invites Oz to sit with her at lunch, which he accepts since there is room for Willow and they start talking amps. Willow arrives and is lost by their terminology. Veruca and Oz leave, and Buffy arrives. She tells Willow not to worry about Oz.
That night, Oz locks himself into a cage in a crypt, but the door isn't secure enough and he breaks free. As Professor Walsh is leaving the school that night, Oz jumps out at her. Another werewolf appears and while Professor Walsh runs and hides in the bushes, the two werewolves jump out and fight with each other. Oz wakes up the next morning to see that the other werewolf is Veruca. They sneak into the campus laundry room for clothes and Veruca appeals to the animal within him. Willow shows up at Oz's and instead of being welcomed with opened arms, Oz is closed off and so she leaves. Buffy informs Giles of the two werewolves being spotted on campus and later goes to Oz in the crypt. She finds him welding the door and asks if he got out, then mentions another werewolf. He tells her he did, but he says he doesn't remember anything about what happened when he got out.
