Theoriginal red and white box Tomica series is the largest and most popular line of Tomica. It features over 150 releases, but Tomica says it plans to have over 250 by the year 2022. These cars are mostly for Japan, but can be found in other places, such as China and the US.

The Tomica Magnum Rescue line was released in 2002. The Tomica cars could react to certain tracks. It was discontinued because of injuries with moviable parts, and was replaced with the Tomica Hyper Series line.

The Tomica World line was created so your Tomica could be played with in a town environment. It was released in 2016. It was divided into sub-series that include Tomica Adventure, Tomica Town, and Tomica Future City, as well as others.

Mighty Boy Tomica replaced the Power Tomica line, coming out in 1984. However, the cars did not come in packages and were poorly manufactured and stocked in stores, so finding them today is extremely rare.

Tomica's Ganpon series was released in 2006. The cars came with a book, earning the nickname "Toy ans book Tomica". However, customers have mis-understood the nickname in thinking that you get a book about the Tomica, with no toy.

The Tomica Handkerchief and Mat set was introduced in 1996. It came with a playmat and a handkerchief. The line discontinued one year later due to a loss of money (they were sold for only 500, which is about how much regular Tomica sell for).
