Dear All Family Members,

                                 On behalf of kovoor Kudumbayogam I  congratulate Mr, Thomas John Kovoor(Vinod) for his outstanding contribution in making the Freedom Memorial  monument for Kerala Govt. which was inaugrated by Chief Minister on2-6-2015 evening at Vettiyurkav TVM. 

             Vinod is the son ofLate John K Thomas and grand son of Kizhakke kovoor Thomachayan.He is working in the university of Rajasthan,Jaipur as a professor and HOD of Sculpture. He has excelled in the art of making monumental Statues

 .

       In 2001 he    started a sculpture Studio "Sukruthi" with all modern facilities to create finest quality Bronze  Sculptures of any dimensions.Studio Sukruthi is built bya committed team of professional artist and well experienced technicians under the leadership of Shri, Thomas John Kovoor.He has made sculptures of Mahatma Gandhi,Lal Bahadur sastri,Indira  Gandhi,Rajiv Gandhi,Swami Vivekananda Ambedkar and many more.

           Bronze casting of   80 Dandi Memorial  Statues started at studio Sukruthi.,Jaipur, Rajasthan.under the leadership of Shri, Thomas John kovoor

artist and Teacher.National salt satyagraha memorial Dandi is a Project of the Ministry of Culture Govt. of India advised by a high level Dandi Memorial Committee Coordinated and implemented by IIT Bombay in Association with an International Team.

           The estimated cost of Vattiyurkav memorial is about 1.75 Crores.The Memorial is to depicit the historic monuments of Indian Struggle for Freedom

The Design has been.prepared by Mr,Thomas John Kovoor Which consists of

a mountain shaped three layered structures of bricks that expresses the unity of Keralites in their struggle for freedom. Four Bronze Statues will be put up around

the main Monument each metaphorically representing Nonviolence ,Patriotism,

Freedom and Resistance to foreign rule. Each Structure is more than 6 feet tall.

   In appreciation of  his outstanding work  Kovoor Kudumbyogam hasFelicitated

Mr,Thomas John Kovoor during the  90th anniversary  at  ,Balbhavan, Panampilly nagar,Ernakulam on 26-12-2014 and he was also presented a Memento.
