The journal issue can be solved as follows: load the module into the toolset and save it as directory; you will find a file module.jrl in that directory. Copy it over the file with the same name in the campaign directory and the journal will work as intended by the author.
This was a very nice mini-module, truly a labour of love and creativity, with good writing, nice references to various fairy tales (and nods to German language and literature), all of which created an atmosphere fitting for the setting (if a bit dark, but so are Grimm's fairy tales). I still struggle with NWN2's clunkyness (camera, pathfinding, controls etc.) and I found the woods, while nice to look at, a bit of a pain to navigate and the hidden ring, because of that, near impossible to find without clues, plus I also ran into the journal issue and it's a shame that it can't just be fixed officially. Nevertheless, this is now one of the few modules for NWN2 I can recommend for drawing me in enough to overlook my pet peeves with the engine.
