Come on out to a total-immersion experience, practicing your Korean/English! For all levels!
This is a language exchange in a very relaxed group setting, almost like a study-group. Drinks and light snacks will be provided.
For one hour, you will help others learn and practice language of their interest. In exchange, they will help you learn and practice language of your interest! At the end of the event, you may be able to find a future language partner!
Seating is limited and first-come, first serve basis. Pre-payment is required. Waiting list available.
Currently I am taking 10 from each language pair: English-Korean and Korean-English. It means you are interested in learning Korean and speaks English in native level, and vice versa.

Further details/adjustments TBA
* Time may be adjusted by plus/minus an hour
* Cost will be adjusted and will not be more than posted amount.
---------------------------------------------
WHO CAN COME:
1. You have to be a native English speaker or equivalent if you want to learn Korean, and vice versa.
2. You have to commit to help others learn too. This is "language exchange." In exchange of learning and practicing what you want to learn and practice, you also have to teach and help others do the same.
3. On this note, you must commit to whole 3 hours.
4. You have to be punctual. This is a group activity. If you are late, everyone has to wait for you. Not cool.
5. You must pre-pay to have your seat guaranteed.

(2) Eputo - Korean style! (Optional)
Koreans love hanging out together for a drink or two or even for a meal after work, classes, bar/club-hopping, etc. It's called "After" or in Korean accent, "Eh-pu-tuh" - Eputo.
Let's go Eputo!
Location TBA during language exchange.
The event fee does not include expenses for this party, so bring extra enough cash.
We do not encourage drinking, folks, but if you are going to drink please drink responsibly. Have a DD; don't drink and drive.
See how Koreans play. :)
(3) E-cha – NRB (Optional)
One Eputo is usually not enough for Koreans. They go E-cha, roughly translated as "Phase 2." It can be another Suljip (bar/drink house), restaurant, clubs or Norebang (Karaoke). And that's exactly what we will do!
NRB stands for Norebang, or Karaoke in Japanese, a term that you may be familiar with. We will sing, dance, cool down at the NRB before we head out to home safely.
Oh yes, don't forget to practice the song you learned at Korean song classes by Grace and Mijoong! (See event calendar)
Please bring extra cash for this event.
Location TBA during at the Eputo.

RSVP & ENROLLMENT CONFIRMATION
Two simple steps to RSVP
(1) RSVP
(2) Pay event fee
You will receive enrollment confirmation e-mail from Zeanie Yoon. You may have to respond to the email for final confirmation.
Please RSVP with following information:
(1) The language you are trying to learn: English or Korean
(2) Level of language you are trying to learn: Beginners, Novice, Intermediate, Advanced
Example: Intermediate Korean
(This would mean you want to learn Korean, and you speak intermediate level Korean).
To self-assess your level, read this:
www.koreanla.org/pages/Class_Levels_and_Description/
Still not sure of your level? Email your Organizer Zeanie Yoon to get an evaluation:

"Maybe" is a "No." Please do not RSVP as "yes" as it just unfairly takes away a seat from a member who can come for sure. Thanks for your thoughtfulness in advance.
---------------------------------------------
ASSIGNMENTS
We will have crazy mix of levels. So to make sure you get the most out of it, please skim through assignments in advance. They are not difficult. ;) Assignments will be announced in next few days.
---------------------------------------------
COST
Tentatively $25 per person is our budget. This includes drinks and light snack. On-line payment will be set up in next few days and will be announced.
No refund for no-shows or those who change their RSVP within 48 hours from the event date. Transactions fees (credit card processing fees, PayPal fee, etc.) will not be returned (3-5%).
