The term and meaning of a Resource-Based Economy was originated by
Jacque Fresco.

It is a system in which all goods and services are available without
the use of money, credits, barter or any other system of debt or
servitude.
자원 기반 경제는 모든 상품과 서비스가 돈, 신용, 무역, 다른 국가의 채무나 강제 노동이 없이 사용가능한 시스템을 말합니
다.
All resources become the common heritage of all of the inhabitants,
not just a select few.
지구 모든 자원은 선택받은 소수가 아닌 모든 인류의 공동의 유산입니다.
The premise upon which this system is based is that the Earth is
abundant with plentiful resource,
자원 기반 경제에 근간을 이루는 전제는 지구는 아주 풍부한 자원을 가지고 있고
our practice of rationing resources through monetary methods is
irrelevant and counter productive to our survival.
화폐수단을 통한 자원 배분의 체제는 인류 생존에 반 생산적이고 관련이 없다는 것입니다.
Modern society has access to highly advanced technology and can make
available food, clothing, housing and medical care;
현대 사회는 고도의 기술을 이룩하였으며, 음식 의류 주거 의료를 가용하게 하며, 우리의 교육시스템을 증진시키고,
update our educational system; and develop a limitless supply of
renewable, non-contaminating energy.
재사용가능하고 오염이 없는 무제한 에너지를 개발할수 있습니다.
By supplying an efficiently designed economy, everyone can enjoy a
very high standard of living with all of the amenities of a high
technological society.
효율적으로 디자인된 경제 체제를 만들어감으로써, 모든 사람은 고도의 세상에서 수준 높을 생활을 즐길수 있습니다.
A resource-based economy would utilize existing resources from the
land and sea, physical equipment, industrial plants, etc.to enhance
the lives of the total population.
자원 기반 경제는 모든 인구의 삶을 향상시키기 위해서 땅, 바다, 물지적 장치, 산업생산에 존재하는 모든 자원을 사용할것입니
다.
In an economy based on resources rather than money, we could easily
produce all of the necessities of life and provide a high standard of
living for all.
돈이 아닌 자원 기반 경제에서 우리는 필요한 모든것을 쉽게 생산할수 있고, 모두를 위한 수준 높을 생활을 공급할수 있습니다.
Consider the following examples: At the beginning of World War II the
US had a mere 600 or so first-class fighting aircraft.
다음 예를 보세요. 2차 세계 대전 초기, 미국은 단지 600대기 정도의 전투기를 보유하고 있었습니다.
We rapidly overcame this short supply by turning out more than 90,000
planes a year.
미국은 빠르게 1년동안 9만대 이상의 비행기를 생산해 냈습니다.
The question at the start of World War II was: Do we have enough
funds to produce the required implements of war?
2차 세계 대전 초기의 궁금증은 미국이 전쟁에 필요한 공급을 할수 있을만한 자본을 가지고 있었냐 하는것 입니다.
The answer was no, we did not have enough money, nor did we have
enough gold; but we did have more than enough resources.
대답은 아닙니다. 미국은 충분한 돈도 금도 없었습니다. 그러나 우리는 우리가 필요로 하는 자원 이상의 자원을 가지고 있었습니
다.
It was the available resources that enabled the US to achieve the
high production and efficiency required to win the war.
가용 자원은 미국이 전쟁을 이기기위해 필요한 고생산성과 효율을 가능하게 했습니다.
Unfortunately this is only considered in times of war.
이것은 불행이도 전쟁을 예로 든것입니다.
In a resource-based economy all of the world's resources are held as
the common heritage of all of Earth's people, thus eventually
outgrowing the need for the artificial boundaries that separate
people.
자원 기반 경제에서는 세계 모든 자원이 인류의 공용 유산으로 여겨집니다. 그리하여 사람을 구분하는 인공적인 경계의 필요성이 점
진적으로 탈피하게 될것입니다.
This is the unifying imperative.
이것은 통합 명령입니다.
We must emphasize that this approach to global governance has nothing
whatever in common with the present aims of an elite to form a world
government with themselves and large corporations at the helm
, and the vast majority of the world's population subservient to
them.
우리는 세계 정부를 향한 이런 접근은 금융 엘레트와 거대 기업이 키를 잡고 추진하고 있는 세계 정부의 현재 목표와 그들에 영
합하는 세계 인구의 대다수와는 어떠한 공통점도 없다는 것을 강조합니다.
Our vision of globalization empowers each and every person on the
planet to be the best they can be, not to live in abject subjugation
to a corporate governing body.

수 있도록 하는데 있습니다.
Our proposals would not only add to the well being of people, but
they would also provide the necessary information that would enable
them to participate in any area of their competence.
우리의 제안은 단순히 사람의 복지를 더하는 것 뿐만이 아니라 사람들이 자신의 능력것 어떠한 영역에 참여할수 있게 도와주는 필요
한 정보를 제공합니다.
The measure of success would be based on the fulfilment of one's
individual pursuits rather than the acquisition of wealth, property
and power.
우리 성공의 척도는 권력,부,빈곤의 추구보다는 인간 각 개인의 자아 실현을 얼마나 충족시켜주느냐에 결정될것입니다.
At present, we have enough material resources to provide a very high
standard of living for all of Earth's inhabitants.
현재에도 지구의 모든 사람들에게 고수준의 삶을 가능하게할 충분한 물질적인 자원이 존재합니다.
Only when population exceeds the carrying capacity of the land do
many problems such as greed, crime and violence emerge.
오직 인구가 땅의 수용능력을 초과할때만 탐욕, 범죄금 , 폭동과같은 많은 문제가 발생합니다.
By overcoming scarcity, most of the crimes and even the prisons of
today's society would no longer be necessary.
희소성을 극복함으로써, 대부분의 범죄나 심지어 감옥같은것은 더이상 필요하지 않을것입니다.
A resource-based economy would make it possible to use technology to
overcome scarce resources by applying renewable sources of energy,
computerizing and automating manufacturing and inventory,
designing safe energy-efficient cities and advanced transportation
systems, providing universal health care and more relevant education,
and most of all by generating a new incentive system based on human
and environmental concern.
자원 기반 경제는 재사용 가능한 에너지 자원 공급, 재조와 발명을 자동화 컴퓨터화, 안전한 에너지 효율 도시와 앞선 교통 체
계,
전반적인 의료 체계와 좀더 유기적인 교육체계, 인간과 환경에 대한 관심에 기반을 둔 새로운 체제를 이루는 모든것에 의해서
희소 자원을 극복하는 기술을 제공할것입니다.
Many people believe that there is too much technology in the world
today, and that technology is the major cause of our environmental
pollution.
많은 사람들은 많은 기술이 존재하고 그 기술들이 환경오염을 일으킨다고 믿습니다.
This is not the case.
그러나 사실은 그렇지 않습니다.
It is the abuse and misuse of technology that should be our major
concern.
사실 오염은 기술의 오용에 있습니다.
In a more humane civilization, instead of machines displacing people
they would shorten the workday, increase the availability of goods and
services, and lengthen vacation time.
많은 인간 사회에서, 기술은 인간의 일하는 시간을 줄여주고, 사용가능한 상품과 서비스를 증가시켜주고, 여가시간을 증가시켜줄것
입니다.
If we utilize new technology to raise the standard of living for all
people, then the infusion of machine technology would no longer be a
threat.
만약 모든 사람의 삶의 기준을 올리기 위해 새로운 기술을 쓴다면, 기술의 투입은 더이상 위혐이 되지 않을것입니다.
A resource-based world economy would also involve all-out efforts to
develop new, clean, and renewable sources of energy: geothermal;
controlled fusion; solar; photovoltaic; wind, wave, and tidal power;
and even fuel from the oceans.
자원 기반 경제는 새롭고 깨끗하고 재사용가능한 에너지 자원에 대한 모든 노력을 포함합니다.
We would eventually be able to have energy in unlimited quantity that
could propel civilization for thousands of years.
우리는 궁극적으로 수천년간 문명을 추진할수 있는 무한한 에너지를 가질수 있게 될것입니다.
A resource-based economy must also be committed to the redesign of
our cities, transportation systems, and industrial plants, allowing
them to be energy efficient, clean, and conveniently serve the needs
of all people.
자원 기반 경제는 우리의 도시, 교통체제,산업단지를 에너지 효율적이고 모든 사람들에게 서비스를 제공할수 있게 새롭게 디자인 한
것입니다.
What else would a resource-based economy mean? Technology
intelligently and efficiently applied, conserves energy, reduces
waste, and provides more leisure time.
자원 기반 경제는 그밖에 다른 무엇을 뜻할수 있을까요? 기술은 지적이고 효율적으로 에너지를 보존 적용하며, 낭비를 낭비하
고, 더 많은 여가시간을 제공합니다.
With automated inventory on a global scale, we can maintain a balance
between production and distribution.
그로벌 스케일의 자동화된 재고관리로, 생산과 분배의 균형을 유지시킬수 있습니다.
Only nutritious and healthy food would be available and planned
obsolescence would be unnecessary and non-existent in a resource-based
economy.
자원 기반 경제에서는 오직 영양가 있고 건강한 음식만이 사용가능하며, 계획된 쇠퇴는 필요하지도 존재하지도 않을것입니다.
As we outgrow the need for professions based on the monetary system,
for instance lawyers, bankers, insurance agents, marketing and
advertising personnel, salespersons, and stockbrokers, a considerable
amount of waste will be eliminated.
우리가 통화체제에 기반한 직업, 예를 들면, 변호사, 은행가, 보험, 광고, 세일즈맨 등을 필요로 하듯이, 자원 기반 경제에
서 직업은 이러한 직업은 어마어마한 낭비이며, 없어질것입니다.
Considerable amounts of energy would also be saved by eliminating the
duplication of competitive products such as tools, eating utensils,
pots, pans and vacuum cleaners.
그리고 많은 에너지는 툴, 식기도구, 냄비, 후라이팬, 청소기 같은 경쟁적인 상품의 복제를 하지 않음으로써 낭비되지 않을것입니

Choice is good.
선택이 최선입니다.
But instead of hundreds of different manufacturing plants and all the
paperwork and personnel required to turn out similar products, only a
few of the highest quality would be needed to serve the entire
population.
그러나 비슷한 제품을 없애기 위해서 필요한 모든 서류와 인원, 수많은 제조공장을 대신해서,오직 소수의 최상품들이 모든 인구
에 공급될 것입니다.
Our only shortage is the lack of creative thought and intelligence in
ourselves and our elected leaders to solve these problems.
우리의 단 한가지 부족은 우리 안에 있는 창조성과 지적인 능력의 결핍, 그리고 이러한 문제를 풀기 위해 선출한 리더입니다.
The most valuable, untapped resource today is human ingenuity.
가장 가치있고 아직 개발하지 않은 자원은 인간의 재능입니다.
With the elimination of debt, the fear of losing one's job will no
longer be a threat This assurance,
combined with education on how to relate to one another in a much
more meaningful way,
could considerably reduce both mental and physical stress and leave
us free to explore and develop our abilities.
부채를 제거하면, 직업을 잃는다는 두려움은 사라질것이고
우리가 더 의미있는 방식으로 연결됬다는 것에 대한 교육과 결합된

If the thought of eliminating money still troubles you,
consider this: If a group of people with gold, diamonds and money
were stranded
on an island that had no resources such as food, clean air and water,
their wealth would be irrelevant to their survival.

It is only when resources are scarce that money can be used to
control their distribution.

One could not, for example, sell the air we breathe or water
abundantly flowing down from a mountain stream.
예를 들어 우리가 숨쉬는 공기와 산에서 내려오는 물은 팔수 없습니다.
Although air and water are valuable, in abundance they cannot be
sold.
공기와 물이 가치가 있더라도, 풍푸하다면 팔리지 않습니다.
Money is only important in a society when certain resources for
survival must be rationed and the people accept money as an exchange
medium for the scarce resources.
돈은 오직 생존을 위해 필요한 특정 자원이 배급되어야 하고 사람들이 희소 자원 교환 매개체로써 돈을 받아드릴때만 중요합니다.
Money is a social convention, an agreement if you will.
돈은 약속이자 합의입니다.
It is neither a natural resource nor does it represent one.
돈은 자원도 아니고 자원을 나타내는 것도 아닙니다.
It is not necessary for survival unless we have been conditioned to
accept it as such.
돈은 우리가 위와 같이 받아들이지 않는다면 생존을 위해 필요한것이 아닙니다.

I would like to inform you that there is a tool we are using for
translating the Venus Project site (and other projects also). It is
called Pootle. Please, answer to this email or write to me directly so
that I can explain the whole situation.
It makes much more sense to work colaboratively than to make
individual isolated efforts. :) Also, there is a whole Korean team
waiting in this group that needs someone to coordinate them. A whole
team can achieve much more than a single person. So the logic suggests
to work by teams. :)

Thing is Korean material was said to have been translated 100%!

You can start by translating in there and also putting in everything
that has already been translated.
