Vil,
Yes, FFACT donations will be directed to our Danbury Families in ILIGAN PROVINCE. I have raised $ 1000.00 already. STILL Waiting for more donations. LET ME KNOW WHERE TO SEND FOR ACCOUNTABILITY. Some of our members org. HAVE SENT THEIR DONATIONS ALREADY TO THEIR RECIPIENTS.
Sent from my Samsung Epic™ 4G
Dr. Ragasa and to all CT Fil-am Associations,
We have a kababayan in Danbury, CT whose family is tremendously affected in this recent tragedy. She is from Hinaplanon, Iligan City, a village that was greatly devastated by last week storm. Herb Cledera, our FAAWC president is spear heading the effort to raise money and send it directly to Myrna Hulguin Decew’s family in Iligan City. I would like to ask the FFACT and various CT associations if we can send our donation directly to the affected families in Barangay Hinaplanon, Iligan City. We will send you the Barangay Council contact in Iligan City when it became available.
Maraming Salamat at Maligayang Pasko.
Vil
Dear Fellow Officers, Board of Trustees, Advisers and Members;
Perhaps it comes to your attention the huge devastation of typhoon Sendong in Cagayan de Oro and Iligan. The death toll is already by the hundreds, and counting due to more unaccounted bodies swept by the flash flood Friday night in the Philippines. In general, the damage is unimaginable and irreparable.
Due to this catastrophic event, I urged the FAAWC to extend help to the victims by allocating funds from the FAAWC Treasurer's account. Myrna Decew, a member of FAAWC whose family in Iligan lost an Aunt and a cousin, and her Uncle is still unaccouted needs priority for the help we are giving. Her family has no place to live but at least will have food to eat and clean water to drink.
I set a donation box together with sign sheet for personal donations at H&K store. Vil Rasing, Gigi Ampeloquio, Darlina Hancock and I had already put in $ 25.00 each. Please make a pledge to this priceless cause thru our local Danbury relief/assistance hot lines: Herbert or Kairen Cledera at (203)743-3175, Alan or Sarah Durante at (203)715-6048, Gigi Ampeloquio at (203)788-3462, Manny or Matty Bautista at (203)426-8927 and Jim or Joy Seri at (203)798-2597. The FAAWC will highly appreciate those who would like to solicit donations from other sources.
Let us make their Christmas a meaningful. Thank you.
Have a wonderful Holidays,
Herb,
I suggest that FAAWC should collectively help our kababayan in Cagayan De Oro who are victim of the recent flood. We can send our contribution thru the FFACT. Please add my $25 to the FAAWC contribution. I will bring the money to your store tonight.
To all officers of FFACT,
Urgent I need a consensus among us how much , FFACT , Amount $ our FFACT can donate to our Kababayans who badly need our help for Typhoon Sendong Victims.
The damage and number of dead from the flood in Cagayan de Oro are worse than reported. Fortunately my family are all safe. I am sure the people there need our help. Perhaps the FFACT and CAPP can help. I am inquiring which NGOs are doing disaster relief. I'll let you know once I find out.
