Sir Joe and All,
This whole series of events started in the Lupercal, the festival honouring the founding of the city of Rome. In the presence of the multitude, Mark Anthony presented Caesar with a kingly crown. Ostentatiously, it seemed like an innocent joke, the Lupercal being a light festival where the "king" of the festival was chosen and mockingly given a homage. But in reality, the two were trying the mood of the people, whether they are ready to accept a real king of Rome. But the people would have nothing to do with a king, so they vociferously objected to placing the crown on Caesar's head. So, when Caesar noticed that the crowd did not like it, he pushed the crown away as if showing disdain. Three times Mark Anthony tried, and three times the people vehemently rejected it, three times also Caesar pretended he too did not like it.
You see, the Romans hated a king among them. The Etruscans had ruled over Rome and the Etruscan kings have been cruel to the Romans, culminating with the rape of the Roman matron Lucrecia by the son of King Tarquin the Proud. This led to the revolt by the Romans led by Brutus, the ancestor of this Brutus who led the assasination of Caesar.
Brutus had sensed Caesar's ambition through this Lupercal event and so plotted to kill the would be king, who upon seeing Brutus among his conspirators, Caesar commented: " Et tu, Brute?" (And you too, Brutus?).
Note: Brute is the vocative form of the word Brutus. In Latin, when you address a man directly, you change the ending of his name from -us to -e, like Augustus to Auguste, Titus to Tite.

Hi All,
Lucretia was not only a beautiful lady, she was a dutiful wife, a model of modesty and virtue.
While they were at a lull in a battle, Sextus, son of Tarquin the Proud the Etruscan king of Rome, and Collatinus were drinking. They started boasting about the virtues of their wives. To settle their arguments, both men rode their horses and went to Rome to surprise their wives. Both men discovered that while he was at war, Sextus' wife was having a wild party in their palace. Then they went to Collatinus' home and they found Lucretia, Collatinus' wife dutifuly spinning with her maids. She was the modest and dutiful wife. But while there, Sextus was overcome with desire of the beautiful Lucretia.
Days later, making an excuse, Sextus went back to Rome and entered Collatinus' home and raped his wife.
Lucretia reported what happened to her husband and his friend Junius Brutus. Then overcome with shame, she stabbed herself to death.
This action spurred both men to assemble a rebel army, marched to the king's palace and overthrew Tarquin the Proud, creating the Roman Republic.
The action of the dutiful wife created the most powerful empire the world has ever known.

Hi All,
What's important in this episode was that in Junius Brutus and Collatinus Rome found two men whose unselfish desire for the greater glory of Rome placed Rome's common weal ahead of their personal ambitions.
It would have been easy for either Brutus or Collatinus to declare himself the new king of Rome to replace Tarquinius Superbus. But no, they decided that Rome was then tired of one-man rule, they abolished the monarchy and in its place they created a government so unique in history, there was no other like it up to this day.
SPQR - Senatus Populusque Romanus (The Senate and the People of Rome).
The Senate became the legislative body which then appointed two consuls to govern Rome. Each consul had his own army but with each one checking on the other so there was no absolute rule and Rome would then be spared of despots that abused their powers like the Etruscan kings.
But what about in times of war? You can't win a war with two supreme commanders, especially since they checked on one another so they were not in the mood to cooperate with each other. To avoid paralysis as would happen in such situation, the Senate appointed one person called a Dictator. This man in times of war, insurrection, rebellion would take over from the two consuls the command of both armies and became their supreme commander to lead one united army to war. After the war was over, the Dictator would return the commands to both consuls and he retired back to private life.
What country has this kind of system of government nowadays?

After your narrations below, clearly we get to compare and see how Quiambao's and Esguerra's crooked ways have been (AB)using the KOR organization for so long. They must have thought all KOR members are just silent and quiet.
Well, Lazir exposed their crooked ways and lies!
Didn't Esguerra write once (in RY2009?), using the KOR letterhead, that a case will be filed against Lazir?
Is that not another blatant lie?
Does he need Lazir's Kuwait address?
Tanong lang po!
For Country and People!
