This list has been very quiet for some time...is it still relevant to
the members? I have
neglected my Polish language studies because of my involvement in other
areas of interest
as well as Genealogy, but I am still interested to hear from other
members who have stories about
Kopyczynce...from any era...present day as well as previous...whatever
you know. There
was a fellow from present day Kopychintsi on this list...I believe he
worked for the town.
Are you still on this list? I am also interested in Pani Sabina's
progress with researching
the Mormon microfilms as well as other Archives.

Thanks for the wishes. Yes, we are rather quiet but as far I know some
of our members are communicating directly between themselves.
I would prefer if we would do it using our group email unless there
are really private matters....
On our list there is one person from Kopychintsi / Kopyczynce - Dima.
Maybe he will reply soon. Over there easter Christian starting
Christmas on January the 6 (our Three King Day). There is also couple
Ukrainian members (one lives in London, UK) who can contribute more
activity on the list. Mrs Sabina is working hard on her family
genealogy and maybe in the nearest future will share with the group
her experience.
As for me I did some slight progress. A couple years ago Mr. Zygmunt
Wolkowicz (the group member) informed me that he saw somewhere
marriage certificate of my grandparents.A few month ago I have
obtained copy of it from USC Archiwum Zabużańskie in Warsaw (soon I
will list all relevant archives located in Poland which carry
documents from Kopyczynce and the area). The document contained some
detailed information I had no knowledge before: maiden name of my
grand-grandmother, exact addresses of my grand parents, their
occupations, names of witnesses as well as name of the priest. My next
step is to locate the birth certificate of my grand parents and my
grand-grand parents.
Our other member Richard Budzinski (from Canada) last summer (or it
was in 2008?) traveled to Kopychintsi / Kopyczynce and area but so far
I did not hear from him. Maybe now he can share some information with
us?

Dziękujemy za życzenia. Tak, jesteśmy raczej cisi, ale o ile wiem,
niektórzy z
naszych członków komunikują się bezpośrednio między sobą.
Wolałbym gdybyśmy to robili korzystając z e-maila grupy, chyba że

Na naszej liście znajduje się jedna osoba z Kopychintsi / Kopyczynce -
Dima.
Może on odpowie. Wschodni Chrzescijanie rozpoczynaja Boże Narodzenia
6 stycznia (w Swieto Trzech Króli). Istnieje również kilku ukraińskich
członków (jeden mieszka w Londynie, Wielka Brytania), którzy mogą Pani
odpowiedziec
listy. Natomiast Pani Sabina wytrqale pracuje nad genealogia swojej
rodziny, i może w
najbliższej przyszłości podzieli się swoim doświadczeniem.
Ja dikonałem nieznacznego postępu. Kilka lat temu pan Zygmunt
Wołkowicz (członek grupy) poinformował mnie, że widział gdzieś
Świadectwo małżeństwa moich dziadkow. Kilka miesięcy temu otrzymałem
odpis
z Archiwum Zabużańskie USC w Warszawie (wkrótce przekaze wykaz
wszystkich istotnych
polskich archiw, które posiadają dokumenty z ok. Kopyczyniec)
. Dokument ten zawiera kilka szczegółowych informacji o ktorych nie
wiedziałem: nazwisko panieńskie mojej prababci, dokładny adres
moich dziadków, ich zawody, nazwiska świadków, jak również
kapłana. Moim następnym krokiem jest znalezienie aktu urodzenia moich
dziadków i pradziadkow.
Pan Richard Budzinski (z Kanady) latem ubiegłego roku (lub było to
w 2008 r.?) udał się do Kopychintsi / Kopyczyniec ale jak dotychczas
nic od niego nie slyszalem. Może teraz podzieli sie z nami swoimi
wrazeniami?
