My Roku Ultra is connected to the router using WiFi. I have not tried to watch live TV yet on my Gen 4 but I have tried to play recordings. The Roku will not play them. I believe the problem that was happening is related to my older Vizio TV not able to play Dolby Digital Plus (DD+) and could only play Dolby Digital (DD).
