About the Classes:
Tuesdays January 14 – March 11
6:30-7:45 Veil Choreography: This lovely and mesmerizing dance is a great celebration of the art of belly dance. With a focus on veil movement this class also emphasizes technique and fundamental repertoire, which is woven into an elegant choreography. Suitable for beginners with deeper detailed movement and added layers for intermediate dancers. All classes include warm-up, building repertoire and choreography, strengthening, cool down and stretch.
7:45-9:00 BellyDance-Jazz Fusion: This intermediate level choreography takes belly dance to a new level of fun, style, conditioning and snazz. Be prepared to sweat, laugh, move and get your groove on!
Cost: Each session costs $90 for 9 classes, or $170 for both sessions
Classes are held at the Schoolhouse Studio in South Slocan. See MAP
Students are encouraged to bring water and a yoga mat if you have one. Please wear comfortable clothing which is not too baggy so Shauna can see the definition of your movements. This is important for assessing techniques and preventing injury.

Soul Fire Dance was founded in 2004 by director Shauna Robertson who has lifelong experience in many genres of theatre and dance. Shauna’s studies in world dance began in 1999 and have led to training with many world famous dancers. Shauna is grateful to have shared the stage with many internationally acclaimed musicians and artists and to share her skill and joy of dance with you!
