Soul Fire Dance once again brings the international Shimmy Mob to the Kootenays!Come Shimmy with us and Join in the Movement!
Shimmy Mob is an international "Flash Mob" type event raising awareness and funds for Women’s and Children’s shelters. We dance united with the same song, same choreography, same t-shirt, same goals, on the same day around the world.
Come join talented Kootenay Dancers as we bring our flash mob to the streets of Nelson. We will be dancing on Saturday, May 10 at the Eco Society's Baker Street Garden Market in Nelson.
Here, in the Kootenays, we have 3 shelter locations to help support women and their children who flee abusive situations. Organizations aim to give women the opportunity to stay in their community or to have safe haven in a neighbouring community. We are supporting the 3 organizations who assist women and children in our area: NCSC in Nelson, CDCSS in Castlegar and Trail Fair Society.
The Shimmy Mob events of the last 2 years were great successes and we look forward to community donations to help make substantial contributions once again!
