• Waste is a resource which is not utilized
• Delhi produces 8000 tonnes of municipal waste daily. 60% of it consists of compostable materials
• Delhi produces 10,000 tonnes of E-waste per year
• E-waste like other wastes can also lead to health hazards if not properly managed
Have you ever got annoyed or frustrated looking at the waste-covered banks of a water stream? Have you ever felt disgusted by the litter in your neighborhood park? Yet we all play a role. An average household in Delhi generates upto one whole kilogram of waste per day. LET US DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT!
Proper disposal as well as re-use of wastes through different methods leads to positive impact on environmental services and makes you a climate friend too!
Join us for a one-day fun workshop on household waste with IYCN, Wiser.org, Chintan and sector experts. You will learn about different types of waste generated from a household, for instance e-waste, biodegradable and non-biodegradable waste, and about the consequences for the society and the environment.
MORE IMPORTANT: YOU WILL LEARN ABOUT WHAT YOU CAN DO ABOUT IT! Finally, you will have a chance to attend a bonus practical session on kitchen gardening @ home
