Research Associate for Sustainable Building Programme 

The Centre for Science and Environment, an established research and policy advocacy institution, is looking for an experienced building professional to join its Sustainable Building Programme which works in the following areas:

• Research, writing and networking on Indian green building sector issues focused on energy efficiency, renewable energy and green ratings.
• Capacity building of building professionals in green building related knowledge and skills through training and site visits.
• Awareness generation for general public and students in green building and habitat issues through print and web-based campaigns.

Work profile will include:

• Research on scientific, technology and policy developments in the building sector
• Communicating research by writing papers and articles on key issues 
• Writing and producing regular policy updates 
• Organising meetings and conferences
• Organising training and running e-courses
• Maintaining databases and correspondence with national policy makers, academics, consultants and NGOs

Candidates must have:

• Professional degree in Civil/Mechanical/Electrical engineering or Architecture
• Prior experience in the building sector, preferably in green buildings.
• Basic understanding of key sustainability issues in the building sector.
• Communication skills in English (written and verbal)

Experience:

We are looking for people with about 2 years of experience in the building sector. Salary will be commensurate with experience
