Dear all!
We are looking for organizations from EU and SEE who would like to become a partner in a training course that will enhance the skills of young people in watchdogging called "Environmental Watchdog"
Dates: 10.04.2012-17.04.2012
Place: Pogradec, Albania
Participants: 3-4 people from each organization, youth workers, non-formal learning facilitators, project managers
Brief description:
The main goal of this seven-days training course taking place in Albania is to develop a set of skills for young people to be effective in watchdogging, with an ability for the persons whose activities have an impact on social life, environmental and political. These skills will be developed in a spirit of active participation, solidarity of European citizenship and tolerance among young Europeans, including those in shaping the union of the future. Informal learning, intercultural dialogue, increase the encouragement of youth participation, regardless of their educational, social and cultural background, will accompany this training course to achieve its purpose. Through examples of good practice and bad practice of Pogradec local community, the youth will not only enhance their ability watch dogging, but also will be motivated to practice their contact with local groups, thus becoming a contribution to building Europe's future. Within seven days, young people will increase their capacity to identify the group watch dogging, monitoring, investigating and collecting of data on the target group, media support and preparation of critical thinking and evaluation of campaign success. "Environmental Watchdog" is a novelty not only for the topic and the impact that will have on civil society and youth organizations, but will transform 24 young people as successful models, encouraging reflection on the new European society and its values.
