 This Participation Building Activity is organised by the Os Quatro Cantos
do Cisne

A short story of our organization:

Os Quatro Cantos do Cisne" IPSS (Institution for Social Solidarity) it is
a non-governmental organization and also a youth association, funded in
1994 in Pereira, Santa Margarida, Constância.

Main Activities:

· We lead and coordinate 5 Free-times centres where we have daily 17
Workers/Animator in direct contact with around 220 Kids and youth.

· During whole the year we organize and coordinate some activities for
local community and mostly for local youth, as Holidays camps (National
and Local), Workshops and drugs prevention Dynamics. Outdoor activities
and some Seminars for own workers.

· Under Youth in Action Programme we participate in almost all actions,
as Youth Exchanges in Action 1, EVS Sending Organization - Action 2, Local
and primary Prevention drugs project in Action 3, Participant Experience
in Action 5 (Seminars, training Courses and study visits).

· We are Director Members of Federation of Youth Associations in
Santarém Region (FAJUDIS) and also members on Social Network in
Constância (Local Council).

· Since 2000 we have in Partnership with National Work Centre: a
inclusion Programme for Youth Workers and long-term employers with 15
workers.

· Small Agriculture Production on Biologic production methods. Mostly we
grow-up aromatic plants and we have also some honey production from our
beehive, all this products we sell on Markets, Festivals, etc.

\- Internationsl workcamps during the summer

. Annual Youth Music Festival in PEREIRA, and Gastronomic Contest.



AIMS OF THE PBA

·         To create a networking about EVS short term;

·         To develop projects under the action 2;

·         To share the good practises under EVS ST;

·         To promote the non formal education has a measure for the
inclusion;

·         To improve communication and co-operation between organisations;


 FRAMEWORK and METHODOLOGY
 The main content elements of the program will be to create a strength
partnership for the EVS short term. We wanted to show some good practices
projects in this field and create new ways to work.
With this project we want to improve a space to prepare participants to
share and work in a better way on the EVS ST projects for youngsters with
fewer opportunities.
The methodology will be: Visits to organizations that are developing EVS
ST projects; presentations; working groups; group dynamics; practice work

 NUMBER OF PARTICIPANTS
Maximum of 20 participants from the YOUTH IN ACTION programme countries.
PROFILE OF PARTICIPANTS
Priority will be given to applicants:

§   Organisation’s that work already with EVS ST projects.

§   Youth workers that are interested in establishing partnership for
developing EVS ST projects;

§   Who come from organisations that intend to continue using the support
of the YOUTH IN ACTION programme for their work in the future.

 DATES AND VENUE OF THE PBA
The   PBA will be held in Constância - Portugal (120km a north of
Lisbon). Participants will be accommodated in triple rooms.
WILL be from 16th to 23rd September (6 working days).

COSTS
Participants from YOUTH IN ACTION programme countries:
Board and lodging will be provided and paid for the Youth In Action
Programme
The participant organisation have to pay 30% of the trip to Portugal (You
must tell us how much it is the trip for we put the price in the
application); Your airport to Lisbon airport.
