Hi,

Here’s the recording and slides for the Migrating a Large Fortune 100 Healthcare Company to Kubernetes in 7 months meetup.

Christopher Nuland, Architect at Red Hat, walked us through the challenges, approaches, shortcomings, and accomplishments of this migration.

A migration that required moving different types of workloads to Kubernetes, like:
  • Workloads living on DC/OS & Docker Swarm
  • Workloads on an older version of a Kubernetes platform
  • And having uncontainerized Java applications that need to be moved to Kubernetes.
He goes on to share the tools the team used in the project, along with showing how today's open-source tools could've made this migration easier.

Enjoy,

Jonathan

P.S. If you have a migrate-to-Kubernetes topic that you'd like to share with the community, let me know! We're always looking to get more presenters to share their insights.
